Use your browser to navigate to your organization's Connect Server or Faspex Server website (note that you may need to request this information from your IT Department). Once you have reached the server's website, you will see an Install Now or Download Aspera Connect button.

If you are connecting to a newer version of Connect Server or Faspex Server, clicking the Install Now button triggers the auto installer. When the installation process has completed, you can refresh the web page to verify that Aspera Connect was installed correctly.

If you are connecting to an older version of Connect Server or Faspex Server, you will see the Download Aspera Connect button instead. Click it to access the Aspera Connect download page (http://asperasoft.com/connect). From here, download Aspera Connect for your Operating System. Once downloaded, locate and double-click the installer, and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation process.

Aspera Connect is installed in different locations on your computer, based on your user account type:

Account Type Default Install Path
Administrator Macintosh HD/Applications/Aspera Connect
Standard User Macintosh HD/Users/(Home directory)/Application Support/Aspera/Aspera Connect

When an Administrator installs Aspera Connect in the default location, all users on the computer can use the application. When an Administrator installs Aspera Connect in a NON-default location, only the administrator can access it.
