Adding Local Groups

Administrators can create IBM Aspera Shares local groups, in which all users who belong to the group have the same Shares access permissions and belong to the local database, rather than to a directory service.

  1. From the Admin menu, select Accounts > Groups > New.
  2. Enter the new local group's Name and click Create Group.
After creating a group, you are redirected to the group's Security settings. From this page, you can also access the group's members, shares, and transfer settings, the group's preferences, and the group's activity logs. For more information, see Edit Group Settings.
