Gathering and Zipping Up All Logs for Support

Aspera Technical Support often requires system logs to help troubleshoot errors. The following instructions describe how to gather the logs created by IBM Aspera Shares, background processes, and stats collector into a .zip file that can be sent to Aspera Technical Support.
  1. Create a folder in which to gather all your Shares logs.
    For example, go to C:\tmp and create the folder "aspera_logs".
  2. Go to C:\Shares\www\log and copy all the logs starting with "production-job-" and "production-web-" to your folder.
  3. Go to C:\Shares\statscollector\logs and copy the file "statscollector-admin.log" to your folder.
  4. To compress your folder into a zip file, right-click the folder and select Send to > Compressed (zipped) folder.
