Transferring Content

Transfers

Shares users may upload, download, and move content to and from shares if they have the proper permissions to do so. Transfers in Shares include:

Uploading files to a share
Downloading files from a share
Copying files from one share to another
Moving files from one share to another

The Connect Browser Plug-In

Transfers in Shares are managed by the IBM Aspera Connect Browser Plug-in. For more information on the Connect Browser Plug-In, see IBM Aspera Shares and the Connect Browser Plug-In.

When initiating a transfer, Shares opens the transfer in the Connect Browser Plug-In transfer window. Users with sufficient permissions can adjust file transfer speed. For more information on monitoring transfers with the Connect Browser Plug-In, see The Transfers Window and Monitoring Transfers.
