Finalizing and Launching a Cluster

  1. Go to Clusters and click Launch Cluster.
  2. Select your template from the Cluster Template drop-down menu and name your cluster.
To create a new template, see Creating a Template.
  3. Enter the DNS name to use for available nodes and then DNS name to use for all nodes.
The DNS name for available nodes is constantly kept up-to-date with the nodes that are available for data transfers. This excludes all nodes that have reached their maximum transfer capacity or nodes that are in an error state. Aspera clients use this DNS name to execute data transfers with the cluster.
The DNS name for all nodes is used cluster nodes independent of their current status. Other Aspera applications like IBM Aspera Shares or IBM Aspera Faspex are configured with this name.
  4. Adjust the auto-scaling policy to fit your criteria.
  5. Enter your customer ID and your entitlement ID to validate your license.
  6. Review the Provider Configuration and Transfer Configuration sections.
  7. Click Launch Cluster.
ATCM redirects you to the Clusters page where you can find your new cluster on the list of clusters. The new cluster starts automatically. You can edit your cluster settings by selecting Edit Auto Scaling Policy, Edit Transfer Configuration, or Edit Cluster Configuration from the Actions drop-down menu.
