Requirements

System requirements for IBM Aspera Connect Server:

• Product-specific Aspera license file.
• Mac OS X 10.11, macOS 10.12 (Sierra), 10.13 (High Sierra)
• SSH Server. Version 5.2 or higher is recommended.
• For the web UI, you must have Perl version 5.8 or higher, including the Data::Dumper and Digest::MD5 modules.
• Screen resolution 1024 x 768 or higher.

Connect Server supports the following web browsers:

• Windows: Chrome 62-64, Microsoft Edge 39-41, Internet Explorer 11, Firefox 56-58, Firefox ESR 52
• macOS: Chrome 62-64, Firefox 56-58, Safari 11, Firefox ESR 52
• Linux: Chrome 62-64, Firefox 56-58, Firefox ESR 52

If you plan to set up and use the Node API, you must also meet the following requirements on each node machine:

• Version 3.7.4 or later. Earlier versions use an SSH key type that is no longer accepted by servers as of version 3.7.4.
• Identify a directory that you plan to use for sharing data. When you set up the Aspera transfer user (Node API Setup), you set their absolute path (docroot) to this directory.
• The line 127.0.0.1 localhost must appear in the hosts file:

  /etc/hosts
