If IBM Aspera Shares on Demand background jobs are not responding, they can be cleared using the
command line.

Clear background jobs in MySQL.
Run the following command:
# /opt/aspera/shares/bin/run mysql -e 'delete from delayed_jobs'

Restart Aspera background jobs.
# /opt/aspera/shares/sbin/sv restart shares-background-default-0
