Rolling Back an Upgrade

  1. (Preliminary Step) Archive the following folders:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Aspera\Orchestrator
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Aspera\Orchestrator\www\var
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Aspera\Common\mysql_x64
  2. Stop the services and uninstall the existing version of Orchestrator, as described in Upgrading a Single Node to the Current Release of Orchestrator.
  3. Delete, move, or rename the following folders:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Aspera\Orchestrator
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Aspera\Common\mysql_x64
  4. Reinstall the previous release of Orchestrator from the .exe file in your Downloads folder.
Follow the steps in Installing Orchestrator (from double-clicking the .exe file through completing the installation).
  5. Stop the services.
Open the Services dialog. If Apache HTTPD Server (Aspera), Aspera Orchestrator, and MySQL Server (Aspera) services are running (Started) in the Status column), right-click the status and click Stop.
  6. Replace the following two folders with the folders that you backed up when you uninstalled the previous version of Orchestrator, as described in Upgrading: Requirements.
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Aspera\Common\mysql_x64
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Aspera\Orchestrator\www\var
For example, if you are doing a rollback to Orchestrator 2.3.5, pull the folders from your backup archive for that release number.
  7. Restart the services.
Open the Services dialog and restart MySQL Server (Aspera), Apache HTTPD Server (Aspera), and Aspera Orchestrator (in that order).
