Configuration

Note: Before configuring Aspera for SharePoint, you must have
  • Provisioned your SharePoint installation for SharePoint apps.
  • Installed and configured an Aspera Enterprise Server.
  • Installed Aspera for SharePoint, as described in Installation.

The most important configuration task you must perform in order to use Aspera for SharePoint is to map SharePoint Document Libraries to Aspera transfer server nodes.

A node on an Aspera transfer server is like a location or directory (or it can even be the entire transfer server itself). A node has discrete properties such as security settings, network interfaces, transfer policies (such as a bandwidth allowance), and users.

In order to make use of the features that Aspera for SharePoint offers, you must affiliate each Document Library with a node. Follow the steps below.
