Users, groups, and transfers can be configured in several ways, all of which modify the XML file aspera.conf.
Click Configuration to open the Configuration Manager. For descriptions of the configuration settings available in the GUI, see Document Root, Authorization, Bandwidth, Network, and File Handling.
Open aspera.conf in a text editor with write permission and add or edit the text in XML format. For templates of aspera.conf parameter settings, see aspera.conf - Authorization, aspera.conf - Transfer, and aspera.conf - File System. You can find aspera.conf in the following location:
/opt/aspera/etc/aspera.conf
Run asconfigurator commands from a Terminal window to automatically insert parameter settings as well-formed XML into aspera.conf.
